This morning I was reading "Jesus the Christ" by James E. Talmage and came upon the quote about Happiness versus Pleasure. It had such a profound effect on me, I decided to go to the Internet to try and find it so I could copy it to my journal. As I was searching, I found your remarks above. Thank you very much for your very insightful comments on pleasure versus happiness.

Great post. It's so true that one of our purposes in life is to have joy (2 Nephi 2:25). It just can't be found outside of righteous living, and we will have a fullness of joy only through our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am enjoying your blog.

The LDS Guide to the Scriptures has a great reference on "Joy." http://scriptures.lds.org/en/gs/j/41
