Father does bless us when we do good, but it's not really because we've earned it. More because He loves us and wants to encourage us to keep at it. It's a promise: if we are righteous, He will bless us. What a great way to explain it. I also wanted to point out that Heavenly Father <i>can't</i> deny justice -- he is bound by it, or, in other words, mercy can't rob justice.
